Who has put prelude seats 97-01 in there ek i read different opinions . Can i unbolt the rails off my sests and bolt them to the prelude seats? Or do i have to make new brackets fkr couple of the holes ? Any help is appreciated thanks

Ok i said i sesrched lol to many different opinions guess onoy way to really know is just do it

 

Especially if you already have both seats in front of you. Normally these things require swapping seat pans. Looks like that might not be an option. But if there were many different options then pick one and go with it.

 

Ok to put 97-01 prelude seats in ek just swap the rails and your done way better over the stock sests by far

 

I did it today and it was very easy.

for the inner rail, swap the entire bracket using a 1 14'' spacer(i used a thick metal one with plastic washers in it) for the front bolt.
for the outer rail, swap just the sliding portion. Drill 2 5/16'' holes where the new rails line up to the front of the inner rail. dremel off the small piece that is blocking the rear hole from getting a bolt in there, leave enough for the plastic piece to screw into though.

line it up and bolt it back into the car, it even lets you keep the seatbelt wiring from the old seat and plug it right in.

I just did them last night. Not sure why you had to dremel or add spacers mine lined up perfectly with the same method you used (inner side/ outer rail). I read on one site it was good to go then went to search for a DIY guide couldn't find one and eveyone was talking about drilling or welding or only 3 holes. For me was like 5 bolts not coulnting the 4 that hold each seat to the floor.

So much better then the EK seats!!!

 

Yeah man mine were unbolt the ek civic rails and bolt them to the prelude seats no modifications at all took 30 min

 

Have a set in my ek as well. For the price and the effort required to swap seats/ rails.. and how shitty stock 96-00 seats are, this mod is waay worth it!
