97 prelude sh stalling problem
What up fellow Prelude lovers, I am having a serious issue with my car right now and it is pretty bad. Well recently I have got my car started and running. I have noticed that once the car is warm after driving for a a while it stalls out for dies whenever I'm not on the gas. It usually does it whenever I'm Revving at high rpms and i throw in neutral. It has happened to me multiple times on the freeway and I just coast and crank it back up and it drives normal. Any ideas?
hook up fuel pressure tester close the hood on it while the gauge is facing u through the windshield and see if fuel pressure cuts off when it dies .. if not it could be ignitor or ignition switch(if dashlights go out at the same time)
$20 fuel tester kit from harbor freight

^ do the lights on the dash go out at all? There was a recall on your ignition switch, Call your local Honda dealer and have them run your vin #. They will replace it for free if it hasnt been done already.
This is correct. And if it hasn't been done, take it to a dealer and DO NOT take no for an answer.
The thing is the dash lights don't cut off when it dies. Let's say I'm sitting still in the driveway after the car is warmed up and I rev the car. Once the rpms drop to normal idle it slowly dips all the way down and the car cuts off.

I have cleaned the iacv already. There is a vaccum hose under the the air box that isn't connected. I looked everywhere and can't figure out where it hooks to.
Still having issue. Cleaned Fitv, iacv, and swapped out throttle body. I even sea foamed it.
I did notice a lot of gooey gunk in the fitv. Like a lot! I swapped it out with a clean one and its still doing it so I'm thinking it could be a clog somewhere??
Here's a video of what happens when it cuts off

+1 and how does your oil look? You may have a blown headgasket, which could be causing low cylinder pressures. In the short term you should be able to adjust your idle speed up (the screw on the throttle body) to help keep it from stalling.
I don't know how you are able to rev it if you're throwing a code for the knock sensor. That will put it in limp mode and you can't rev above like 4k iirc.

This sounds like possible main relay gone bad and intermittently going open, then cooling down which makes it function then repeating the cycle.
I would get a fuel pressure tester from harbor freight and see how fuel pressure looks when it dies.
