Trying to rebuild my b18c1 gsr motor.
What's up everyone! Thinking about rebuilding my motor back to stock. Its a 99 Integra gsr. Sitting at 188k original miles. So far I've only changed cam seal, vtec solenoid gasket, valve cover gasket. Basically, the basic stuff. Can anyone give me the list of the things I need to rebuild it back to a healthy, stock motor? Much appreciated. Thanks!
it really depends on why you are doing the rebuild. low on power? burning oil? or just a preventative thing. did you do a compression or leakdown test?
Yes, its really low on power. 188k miles so its bound for a rebuild. And yes, its burning a lot of oil as well too. Haven't done any compression or leakdown test yet.
timing belt, and other belts, dizzy, plugs and wires.. head gasket. you mine as well just take the engine out, and put a new one in or do a total rebuild. Idk what your going for. If its burning alot of oil that is not good. where is it leaking from have you found out?

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
188k seems early for a B18C rebuild....unless the motor has been ragged on all its life and/or has had bad maintenance habits.
It may just need a tune up and valve seals. A compression/leakdown test will tell you.

if you're asking a question like this "diy" engine rebuilding is above you, do you have all the tools required ? do you know how to use them correctly/check clearances .
