Electrical Help - Battery Fuse 70A Blowing
Hey I have a 1990 G2 Integra that's been parked for 8 years and a friend just gifted to me. Been going at it for 1 1/2 months now (way more problems then "just the clutch" as he told me...
). If you can help! Much appreciated!
Anyways, 70A battery fuse keeps on blowing whenever I attach a NEW battery. the 50A fuse to the ignition switch however remains intact.
This makes me think there's a short in alternator electrical loop.
The funny thing is when I had a 100% dead battery in there and boosted it, the car would run fine.
I don't understand how, if I have a short circuit in my alternator, it would still be running in the "old car battery" scenario.
Anyone have experience or advice on a short like this?
This is only an issue with the new battery.
