H22a swap starts for couple seconds then stalls
hey guys im new to this forum but i could really use the help. i have a 2001 base prelude and I just got the engine swapped with a jdm h22a, all the sensors were swapped over as well, same with intake manifold, distributor, oil pump pretty much everything from the h22a4. everything is grounded properly. I dont understand why it starts and just dies seconds later. Im far from a mechanic i'm just working along side one. his guess is he might need to bleed air out of the cooling system, but could it be something like the fast idol control valve? like i said i'm no mechanic lol so i dont know but if there's have any ideas, i'd love to hear them. much appreciated
ps. this seems to be a common problem when googled, but there aren't any real solutions so far

my bad, literally everything but the the block and head is swapped over, it pretty much is the h22a4 that was in there P13 ECU.there were alot of minor differences between the 2 engines like distributor, waterpump, etc. so we just swapped everything over so it would fit happily into the 2001. the compression is good, fuel pump should be fine i drove the engine that was in before it around for a while (had a knock) i know these are finicky engines and im just wondering if im doing a common dumb mistake when it comes to swapping h22a's, could it be something like dirty IACV or FITV thats causing it to stall right away?
my first thought is throttle position, make the sure the tps is calibrated properly, and that all grounds are nice and clean and tight.
verify fuel pressure, compression and spark, and it should run.

hmm still a no go, have plenty of fuel, got spark. next gona find vacuum hose map and wiring just to be sure. I'll post what the problem is when I find it. hopefully soon here, i live in canada and there's not much of a summer..gotta figure it out quick
sorry for reviving an old post but i figured i should let people know for future reference when coming across similar problem, it ended up being the balance shaft pulley, it was the only thing that was still on the engine that was jdm and not swapped to usdm, once the usdm balance shaft pulley was put on it fired up no problem..sorta now im dealing with a CEL and idle that bounces up from 1000rpm to 1500rpm, swapped out the IACV and the FITV then reset the battery and the problem persists, gona check the code, im thinking TPS, i swapped the map sensor but that wasnt it either

ya thanks for the help, i wasn't sure if all the pulleys were swapped because i had another guy do the main bulk of the work, just glad its figured out for the most part, just gotta figure this idle problem out maybe i'll post a video, i'm sure somebody has dealt with this same problem here
