Default Rotational knocking noise

I have a really violent knocking noise on my car (sounds like a wheel is about to fall off). It only happens when there's no load on the rotational assembly(neutral/coasting), when I apply the brakes or gas it goes away. My front end is tight, left axle is new, right axle boot is torn but not making any clicking noises, and the links have no play. The only thing that has play is the shifter fork bushing(where it connects to the tranny), and it has a lot of play. Could that be bouncing around while I'm driving or is the tranny on the way out?
