EX intake manifold onto my 1993 LX?
The EX has 140hp and the LX 125hp. I have heard that the intake/throttle body on the EX is bigger and less restrictive, and that accounts for the 15hp difference. Is this true? Where can I get the EX intake manifold then?

the inake manifold amounts to 8-9 of the 15 hp. the other 6 hp is from both the 4-2-1 header on the EX as well and a larger lobed camshaft which allows for more valve lift and duration
Yeah if you can get the EX header for free or for cheap it'll do good for you. You probably won't feel a difference, but it flows much better than the DX/LX cast iron 4-1 manifold and single downpipe.
The '92-'93 EX engine got additional power from a dual-runner intake manifold. EX cam profiles *might* be different, but I doubt it.

Not that I don't believe you. I got the Helms right here and it does not differentiate between DX/LX and EX heads, only intake and exhaust manifolds. Where are you getting your info from?
K sounds good. Ideally, I want to find an ex at a junkyard with a rear end collision and just buy the whole thing
. That way I got extras of everything...
Thanks guys

the heads are identical for both models, its the camshaft that is bigger on the EXs

If this were the case, the Helms would have two head sections, DX/LX and EX (US) and LX/EX and EX-R (Canada). It has but one section on the cylinder head, and I can't find anything that indicates the EX (F22A6) camshaft differs from DX/LX (F22A1) in any way.
Under the standards and service limits, specs for the camshaft, cam lobe height, valve clearance, etc are identical across the board.
I looked it up myself since everyone seems to be so lazy lately.
92/93 Ex cam part # from Majestic: 93712
92/93 Lx Camshaft part # : 93711
2 different cams. He is right. It took me all of 3 mins to look this up.
Edit: I didnt see your post Dave when I replied. Interesting. Part #s are different, they must be different.

I've seen this for lots of parts, like oil drain bolts, engine mount bolts... different part numbers, but parts are identical.

Bigger camshaft? Are you sure you know what your talking about?

the info i have is from chiltons manual, 1991 accord.
single intake manifold: in: 1.5167 exh: 1.5266
dual intake manifold: in: 1.5252 exh: 1.5343
they are different specs and it does make a slight ammount of power.

do the ECU differ also??
f22a6's (140HP) didnt come til the 92~93 release
b4 that the EX's had the f22a4(i believe 130HP) ...correct??

yes, larger...larger lobes on the camshaft- r u sure you know what your talking about smartass?
Moderators, how much more sh*t am I going to have to take from them (you know who I speak of)?
ECU is different on the f22a6...i believe it has a more aggressive fuel curve, but not enough to make a significant diff.
