Alright so I just finished putting my swap back in. When I go to start it up it will crank but won't start unless I'm giving it gas. Once it's started it won't stay running unless I keep on the gas a little bit. The swap is a h2b. F20b block and built h22 head. Head has pro2s an valve terrain. I'm also running dsm 450cc injectors. I have the timing set good and cam gears set to skunk2's suggested timing specs for now. I got a basemap chip for the injectirs and everything hoping that would fix my problem but it hadn't. I was told to clean the iac valve but I don't see that being the problem because it was fine before I pulled the swap to begin with. But I am going to clean it tomorrow to give it a shot. If anyone's had this problem before or knows what could be wrong please let me know.

 

the basemap is your problem. you need to bring your car to a tuner. i would tow it or drive without WOT. you can adjust your throttle stop to help it idle until then.

 

Have you set correct ignition timing. Try advancing the distributor and see if it helps.

Didn't even think about adjusting the dizzy. When I get out of work I'm gonna open the throttle a bit an see if advancing the dizzy helps out

 

Adjusting the distributor isn't going to do much if anything at all. Pro2's with bigger injectors make tuning a must. As stated, you need a real tune. Basemap's are only good enough to start your car and check for leaks, cel's, ect.

 

...did you try adjusting the idle air bleed screw on the top-front of the carb??

 

Tuning!!!!! You can't put big cams and different sized injectors into an engine and expect it to run without tuning. The ECU still thinks those are factory injectors. It will not run right until you have it tuned. Any other "fix" you try will just be avoiding the true issue.
