Default 94 Accord stuck in Park after JDM H22 install with auto tranny

Hello everyone. I installed a JDM h22 in my 94 accord with auto transmission. After the swap the car would not shift from park unless I use the key in the bypass. All fuses are good, brake light works. I do not hear the click when I press the brake that disengages the park solenoid. I've read guys who install h22s and running an auto tranny said to run a wire to the A 7 position on the tcu wire and the splice it onto the green/wire on the park lock solenoid located on the left hand side of the shifter which has about 5 or 6 wires going to it. Can anyone confirm this for me? Is it in fact the green/white wire I have to splice into on my 94 honda accord lx? I also replaced the tcu with another one and I'm having the same issue. When I reinstalled the original accord tcu, the car shifted from the park position with no problem.

I'm not an auto tranny specialist but if it were me I would see how it runs with the accord tcu and just use it if there are no issues.

I wouldn't mine using the accord computer but I'm thinking the shift point would be different since my accord was a non vtec. Has anyone try this

So when you press on the brake pedal the shifter solenoid does not unlock?
Have you checked the shifter cable adjustment? The shifter switch?
Can you manually unlock the shifter with the Valet key and pull the shifter out of Park?

When I put the key in the bypass slot on the shifter I can unlock the shifter from the park position and put it into drive.
Mike do u know anything about running the wire from a7 on the tcu to the shifter. This is the link I'm reading

No idea. But if the Prelude had the sport button, then that may be part of the issue.

Well, did the Prelude use a Sport button like the 91-93 Accords?

On your original TCM, the brake switch signal has to go through the TCM to the interlock control system. If the brake switch signal doesn't go through the TCM, the shift lock relay (which is inside the interlock control unit) won't energize. From the brake switch, there is a Grn/Wht wire (brake switch input) that eventually goes to a original TCM harness connector. The shift lock circuit control signal exit the TCM via a Wht/Grn wire to the interlock control unit.

You can just cut the Grn/Wht wire from the TCM harness connector and splice it together with the Wht/Grn wire of the other TCM harness connector; this will bypass the signal having to run through the TCM. On your 94 Accord, the Grn/Wht wire is at pin 12 of Connector C461 (the 22P gray connector), the Wht/Grn wire is at pin 22 of Connector C462 (the 26P gray connector).

The similar solution was posted in this link too:

These are TCM connector terminal view pin numbering, based on the Honda electrical troubleshoot manual, which may be different than the service manual.
