converting my 98 ls from 4 lug to 5 lug
Is there another way to swap over than buying the jdm swaps? Never done that before so I am not sure what all is necessary to change

Buy a full 5 lug swap from a 96-00 EK9 CTR. This has the "32mm" splines so you can use any USDM civic/integra axles. You WILL NEED an alignment if you use this on a 5G civic or Integra.
If you buy a JDM ITR 5 lug, it will be cheaper, but you'll need to be creative with the axles. 5G prelude axles work almost 100%. You'll need to swap the inner passenger side CV cup from a B series axle.
If you buy a USDM ITR 5 lug...you're a bad person. It's probably stolen.
A complete 5 lug swap comes with complete rear trailing arms and front spindles with hubs, brakes, everything. Very complete ones will usually come with control arms and shocks and springs too.
You also need 5X114.3 wheels. Duh. They need to be 15" or bigger to fit the brakes.
Jdmenginescorp.com has sold me a couple nice ones....for cheap because b serious is #1. But retail is still cheap. Like $780ish shipped without wheels. About $1500 with wheels.

If you want to piece together a conversion with new, US dealership parts, you'll need these from a ITR:
-hubs
-wheel bearings
-rotors
-calipers
-caliper brackets.
-brake pads
-5 lug wheels.
-a million dollars to pay for it all.

Well...the reason for a 5 lug is typically just looks.
4 lug has some advantages:
-wheel selection. HUGE advantage if you want 15 or 16" wheels.
-mini cooper rotors and ITR calipers for the front. EP3 rotors in back with itr calipers. This combo is easier to install and much cheaper than a full 5 lug swap.
The nice thing about the 5 lug besides the look is that the 5th lug helps spread the load on the wheel face (insert load and face joke here). That means slightly less chance of breaking a wheel and a little more hub and bearing life.
