Default M2k4 lsd

hi there ,
i know that there are loads of transmission interchangable for preludes....

now my problem is that i want to fit an m2k4 on my h22 turbo set up for higher speeds on motorway as i live in germany with no speed limits on motorways.

befor i want to fit it i wanted to add an aftermarket lsd but im not sure if you can just fit it to a tranny which never had an lsd befor and just wanted to ask you guys if any1 ever has had any experiance in doing so ...

Yes you can install a aftermarket LSD differential on the non-lsd 5 speed transmissions. You can also change the final gear drive, at the same time.

I know the F series transmissions can bolt to a h22, and the F23's trans came with the longest gears. Would be nice to install a lsd in one of those and make the gearing a little taller. It would be slow from a stop, but should be fast as hell once up and moving.

Im pretty sure you can put a LSD in a F series trans, never looked into it that much. I went the other way and bought a short geared tranny for N/a myself.

If the main case of the transmission has px-5 stamp then you can put a aftermarket lsd in it along with a aftermarket final drive.. If the main case has p16 stamp then it requires the 14 bolt lsd and you have no options for a aftermarket final drive unless you get a custom one made..

its 92-95 eudm 2.3i 4ws m2k4 fitted to a h23a2......

well i have about 400bhp and its meant for autobahn drives and anoying ppl with cars limited to 155mph

so if it does have a p16 stamp on it ill have to use original final drive then aas i originally intended anyway?

The stamp will be located on the passenger side of the case in between the fill and drain plugs.. The bell housing case will be stamped where the clutch fork enters the bell housing and should be p16.. If it has no lsd now it should be able to accept a aftermarket lsd or an oem honda 10 bolt lsd..
