B20VTEC YCP PISTON P2V CLEARANCE PLEASE HELP
I want to run ycp 84mm pistons in my b20vtec
With this set up i want to know if my valves will clear the pistons.
I want to get it together this week and just want to make sure these pistons will be ok before I buy????
Any help will be appreciated
My parts list
B20z2 block
Acl rod bearing
Arp rod bolts
B20z rods
B20z crank
b16 sir head
Port and polish
Supertech dual valve springs
Titanium retainers
Supertech valve seals
00 usdm itr cams
Weapon r cam gears
Itr manifold
Nippon 3 layer head gasket.

You should not have any clearance issues with those pistons and those cams. Unless your block/head has been machined a ton MANY people run much larger cams w/o issues. Clay it if you want peace of mind, but you shouldn't have any problems.

yeah im pretty sure you can clear itr cams on stock pistons. the ycp's should have the vtec sized valve reliefs you are goood to go

You shoudnt have any problem with p2v because those pistons have more valve relief than stock b20 pistons. Like others say, claying the p2v is the best and the only way to really find out though.
