Default Brake Hub Question regarding model years

I currently have a 96 Accord that I'm about to sell due to mileage and needing something more reliable. I was looking at a 1998 Acura CL. My question is what year Accord's exactly have the ridiculous hub/brake design and do those same year Acura's also have it? Do any other model Honda's have it (Civic's). I've searched and haven't found anything truly definitive on it. In fact it looks as if they used it on 92-97 Accords but that doesn't seem right. I'd appreciate someones definitive info.

90-97 Accords and 97 CL.

Of all the years of Accord, 94-97 is the simplest, most reliable, and easiest to maintain. If your one gripe is the front rotor design, then you are going to hate the transmission issues in the later 2.3 cars.

I'm aware of the numerous transmission issues with all Honda's. So I typically only by manual's. Would the later 2.3's have the same issue with tranny in the manual as they do in the automatics?

Not sure what/where you are going with that statement? I'd put a 4th or 5th gen Accord auto up against almost any other auto trans out there.

Now, you couldn't run fast enough to "give me" the keys to a 6th gen auto. Ok, maybe you could and I'd either sell it or swap it to a maunal if it was a 4 cyl.

You want "reliable". Well IMHO, if you or the PO have at least tried to take care of the 96 you have.......there isn't anything much better. You say "because of milage" and never give the miles on the car, are you over 400K?

Now if you are just wanting a new car, that is a different story.

Again, just my opinion. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.
