2003 Honda Civic LX A/T not starting after car died while driving
Hi guys-
So our 2003 Honda Civic(~105k miles) died while driving at 30-40 mph after doing timing belt.
Pulled the timing belt, cam gear nut which goes into camshaft was loose and for some reason cam gear key came out of cam and was missing.
Located the key, put it back, tightened the bolts to specs with a torque wrench. Checked crank/cam timing multiple times and put it back together.
Now when we try to start the car, its cranking and not starting. We can smell fuel burning, but again it's NOT starting. Not sure, if it's relevant but fuel gauge just goes to 'E' while cranking, as soon as cranking is stopped, it comes back to almost 'F' mark.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

We did a compression test today, after pulling FI/ECU fuse off.
Numbers are really low(seems like?). What do they mean and what are possible next steps? Also, if timing is still off, would compression will be low in return or no?
1 2 3 4
50 50 75 40
Thanks again for helping out.

Either your timing is still off, or you bent valves with the gear loosened up. Sounds like you checked timing alignment when you got it back together, so it appears as though you skipped timing when the cam gear loosened up and you had piston to valve contact - resulting in several bent valves...
Guys, I am trying to pull the head to see situation of valves.
How should I pull these dam injectors out? So far cracked two bolts and injectors are NOT moving at all?
Please have a look on the pict to see if I am missing something?

the fuel rail needs to be removed to remove the injectors... and honestly, with those engines, its IMO easier to remove the intake WITH the head and remove it off the head while on the bench. The other d-series engines are easier to access the nuts to remove, but the D17A I prefer to remove the head with the intake manifold still attached. Something to consider ;-)
That's a very good idea. What about injector, will they still stay in? I have opened two bolts for the fuel rail and injectors are not moving at all.
How can I pull the head with intake still attached to it? Can you please give few pointer and I'll follow the directions. Thank you for helping out.
