The diver side rear door will not open. After taking the trim panel off and making certain the connecting rod was still in place but it will not release the latch. Any suggestions on how I can get the door open?

 

I have to replace my psgr door actuator to unlock and lock. Check the actuator.

 

Remove the door handle and operate the release bar manually until you get a replacement actuator.

 

Does it open from inside or outside ?

 

Thanks but I have pulled the trim panel and griped the linkage rod with vice grips it won't budge. Any suggestions lol cut the skin open? No!

 

There are some plastic parts that break near the latch end as opposed to the handle end.

You probably have to remove the latch to get a good look at it. Check the fasteners #10 and the plastic linkages in assembly #40. From what I remember, it is a b!tch to get that part out though.
