Default Clunking noise in rear

My prelude makes a clunking noise in the rear when driving on bumpy roads, going over speed bumps, doesn't really make noise on smooth roads.

I already checked the struts/shocks, thought it was the problem, I replaced them, everything is tighten the noise was still there.

The rear sway bar is tight on there, it isn't moving or have any play, i already had two mechanics look at that, they say it is fine.

Anyone have an idea of what it could be? Or other things I should check that may be causing the noise?

When was the last time you replaced the wheel hub assembly? Maybe its a bearing, although id hope a mechanic would catch that... Jack it up and see if there is play with the wheel.

What year is your Prelude? This sounds like the classic "shock knock" to me. There's a TSB for it.

My car is a 5th gen 2000, shock knock, haven't heard of that, I'll take a look at this as well, but there was no problem with my shocks, I was running Tein Basics and the noise was there, switched them back to OEM, and it was still there.

Thanks guys, i'll have to do more research when I jack up my car.

Check your balljoints, they could be worn out.
