I just got a type-r style **** today and was wondering what the little nut that came with it is for. thanks, yes, I'm aware that Im a noob.

 

You really don't know what the nut is for?!



Put the **** on. Not straight, is it? The nut goes on first, then the ****. the nut tightens agains the ****, securing it.

The nut is a locking nut. When you put the **** on without it, it probably wont line up right (the shift pattern). You put the locking nut on first with the flat side up. Screw it all the way down. Then screw the **** on. Screw it all the way down. Now turn it back until the pattern is straight. Now screw the nut up to the **** and tighten them together. This locks them together, hence it being called a locking nut.

Yea that's what it is for.... since it's a 10x1.25mm you can use it for your shock tower bolts, shock cap bolts, and any other place you can thread it on. [IMG][/IMG]

 

Lame a$$ people. Does it make you feel like you have big ***** when you flame people? I didn't try to put it on to know it wouldnt line up straight, thus I asked my question. I think 1 post explaining what it was for would have been sufficient, but no, everyone has to throw in the hammer-head and say "duh, blah blah". Nice life.
