Boosted car hot lapping - How much is too much?
I was at the strip on Sunday and I ended up showing up a little later than I would have liked with only 30 or 40 minutes left before closing time by the time I got up to the line.
It was pretty quiet by this point, so I could have hot lapped almost the entire time if I wanted to.
I ended up running two passes back to back, then I waited 10-15 minutes before running again and going home.
I've never actually run into this before, usually it's more like 1 pass an hour if I'm lucky.
I have a full size radiator so coolant temp isn't an issue but I don't have an oil temp guage so I wasn't sure how much I could push it.
My setup isn't too wild just a 250whp non-vtec B-series on low boost but I wondering if anyone had any thoughts?

Im curious what strips are open in Ontario already? Id love to hit the track for fun, not to many people seem to go just for fun anymore.
I went to Toronto motorsports on a day it was forecasted to rain and it was EMPTY, like maybe 20 cars, I must have done 12 passes over 90min @ 15psi and my oil temp didnt go over 200.
This year Ive stepped up to a 5.5qt oil pan tho, but only to make return line and sensors easier.

In the past track conditions have been so-so but the track was hooking up great on Sunday they had it prepped all the way down.
Wish I had a vid but I saw an old ****** (I think) drag car literally roll at the 60ft mark. He launched funny and let off, and when the car came down the front end bounced like crazy. It ended up rolling onto the roof, spinning around two times and then rolling back onto the wheels. Craziest **** I have ever seen! lol
Might head back out on Monday, there's an event on Saturday/Sunday so it should be pretty quiet on the holiday.
Thanks, I figured as much. Oil pressure never dropped or anything so I wasn't too worried just got nervous since this setup is pretty new to me. I have a bung welded into my oil pan I guess I need to pick up a temp gauge just for the peace of mind.
Not to thread jack but how strict are they on test n tune nights with the battery relocated to the back if you know, Id like to avoid external kill switch.
hopefully I'll see you out there! Last time I went I was pretty lonely being the only import, and I was n/a last year running 15's
