Default H23 VTEC new build oil in intake manifold

Hi, i have question. I have high compression 12,5:1 fresh build H23 VTEC. After drive some miles(tuning) i removed intake manifold and i have oil in intake runners and intake ports. I have new bronze valve guides and seals, new pistons and rings. Compression test is done and is OK. I dont have oil catch can. PCV seems to be OK. Is it normal? Can you advice please?

Thanks

Josef

If you have stock pcv system, you will get some blow-by from your valve cover into the intake. Only way to stop it is to delete the pcv system and valve cover breather into the intake, and run a catch can.

^ yup, its a emissions thing. Catch cans are oober cheap too, you dont need a real fancy one. Some catch cans want a return line that goes back to intake mani, mine did. I just put a mini filter on the out line to keep the runners oil free. Some people just rock the mini filter right off the valve cover. It works but eventually will get dirty and drip oil.
