The only things that they do to the ecu is up the rev limiter, and advance the timing a little...oh and remove some of the fuel...I believe that it is CARB legal, but who is going to know?

I’m considering the Comptech ECU because it is designed for use with the Icebox, Comptech header and cat back, which I have on my ITR. The ECU changes the timing curve, rev limiter, and VTEC engagement point. My only reservation is it lowers VTEC engagement to 4000 rpm. That is just a little under 70 mph in 5th w/15 inch wheels and tires with the correct aspect ratio for the R. This might make it tough to use the car as a daily driver.

Well...the Icebox was designed 2 years after the ECU program was produced.
Comptech - Who says that it might be OK if you use their ECU with the Icebox, header and catback.
