only thing i'm concern is that the mileage is so high. Owner is willing to sell for $3800. He does not have maintenance record. He said the engine is still strong. He bought it from a friend and owned it for less than a month; then said he's selling to get a new car. What do you guys think?

looks like he's just trying to do a quick flip, and just because he says it runs good and has all that new parts on there doesn't mean its true

 

Hmm, what does that tell you.

He said does not in any way constitute the vehicle being in that condition. He has absolutely zero information to back up the claim as well. On top of it, it's only been owned for one month.

If you're remotely serious about it, call your local Acura/Honda dealership and ask them for a pre-purchase inspection which should cost you ~$75 and they will tell you everything they can find wrong with it. Or even better, if you know an independent reputable Honda/Acura specialist take it there and they should offer the same type of inspection. If the owner refuses or comes with excuses then that alone should be a red flag.

 

I agree, a pre purchase inspection is a must as well a a carfax to be safe!

 

with the price of $3800 add in parts most likely going to need replacing, catalytic converter, o2 sensor etc.
I wouldn't touch it, do you really want to find out somethings wrong at 230k or 250k.

 

Don't bother, something fishy.

 

Save a little more money and you can find one with lower miles at a better price

 

too many miles for the price....there are several here in New Mexico in the 5k-6k that are only in the 130k mileage range
