lightweight FTW... tourqe/hp/weight ?!
HELLO HT, I WOULD LIKE YOUR INPUT
I drive a 89 EF hatch fully gutted and partially cut. the car weighs 2010 lbs with me in it. 99 b20b swap, open ls tranny, bolt ons, p75 untuned.
kill list:
GSR EK hatch (unknown mods)
GSR EF sedan (180+hp, tuned, full interior, slow shift)
GSR EG coupe (unknown mods)
GSR EG hatch (unknown mods)
B20B DA (stock untuned, gutted)
B20B 4dr DA (street tune, radials)
a lot of LS's and B16's
lost to:
180+ hp GSR non lsd crx semi-gutted w/ roll cage (1-2 car lengths)
175+hp B16 w/ cams and LSD full interior crx (1/2-1 car length)
I'm confused because a lot of the cars I beat are 200-400+ lbs heavier than my car, but making 30-40 hp more than I am. Please correct me if I'm wrong with the last statement. The torque from the B20 is the special sauce in this application, what do you think?

Sounds like a bragging list.
Too many variables to state why you did or didn't beat another car in a race. You make no mention of what was in either of those CRXs you lost to and you have almost no advantage with respect to power/weight ratio. FWIW try a B16 transmission.

I had a b16, it had a leak, and blew the dif one night. I already had the LS so it went in.
