Default Ported h22a OEM manifold on H23A (dyno inside)

Hey guys I just wanted to share some of the work I did on porting the oem manifold to squeeze some a little more power out of my stock motor H23A vtec.

Previous setup (blue line in dyno):
Stock JDM H23a vtec
Bosch Iridium Plugs
AEM V2 Intake
Professional Products 68 ITR throttle body
Rosko thermal TB gasket
Port matched TB port on manifold
Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket
Blacktrax unported spacer (8 holes to delete IAB)
PLM Tri-Y header
2.5" mandrel bent exhaust system
Magnaflow resonator and muffler
Chipped/Tuned OBD1 ecu
5sp manual

Changes made (red line in dyno):
*Ditched the AEM V2 since it was slightly smaller than the throttle body*
Custom Intake
BPi Flowstack/KN filter
8 holes ported in the manifold along with the blacktrax spacer

And finally heres the dyno comparison:

Both graphs are tuned. I believe there was some traction issue up top which caused the static. Same dyno, same tuner, different days.
It helped carry the power much higher into the power band, but for the most part, i picked up power nearly everywhere

And here is a baseline on OBD2 to now:

All tuning done by Kenny Sampson at Turbogixxer

Thank you

Stingy Dyno!

Nice power increases, the curve looks good.

I think the exhaust is holding you back. Try going to a 3", I bet you pick up power at every RPM with as much as 10+ in some spots.

Very nice. I have a similar intake manifold setup on my H23 that Kenny is tuning in 10 days, can't wait to see what he can do with it!

The gain from 4-5.5k over stock is insane!

Yea that will be my next step a little later this summer. I noticed also today that one of the bolts holding my header together is missing for who knows how long O.o 2 of the slipjoints look a little loose so i hope there wont be any leaking...

Picked up a custom header from a friend today as well. He didnt have any dynos on it so I will probably dyno this later in the summer to make sure it doesnt have any dips in power. Id like to use this header and merge it to a 3" exhaust but most likely the better header will stay.

At first it actually lost power everywhere under about 7k but give him some time to work his magic

Yea thats most attributed to the much lower vtec engagement. The difference it made is absolutely incredible. About time for a traction bar
