BTW please ignore the section about eliminating rear seats for now, we're double checking on it to make sure that is the case!!
i guess this would be for ppl that DONT want to have a full roll cage in their car

geez, spend that on a cage and get more benefit.
yep. but then as long as people don't attach harnesses to this brace, I don't see a problem with people spending cash on it. Those that do should be made aware of the fact that they are a moron. (those that attach a harness to it that is)
Pros of rollbar:
Rollover protection
Increased structural rigidity
Costs less than a x-brace
Provides a place to mount harnesses
Cons of rollbar:
Useless back seats
Pros of x-brace:
Increased structural rigidity
Cons of x-brace:
Useless rear seats
No rollover protection
Costs more than a rollbar
No place to mount harnesses

i hope they figure that out too!! you can tell from the pic the harness is attached to the chassis NOT the bar

in fact, I'd say that's even more dangerous do to the angle of the belts. Spinal compression would own that driver, and he'd still get killed in a rollover.. (edit: if the roof collapses)[Modified by Dave-ROR, 4:53 PM 10/30/2002]
anyone think it'd be possible to retain the rear seats?
even if it was, you would have to be an idiot to either 1) sit back there or 2) let people sit back there.
correct me if im wrong...

Yep. You're wrong.
Autopower and Kirk Racing both sell bolt-in (therefore, removable roll bars/6pt. cages).

If the reason for getting this bar is JDM bling, so be it. That is retarded, but it's your car and whatever makes you happy is cool.
I just wanted to let people know there was a better alternative if this piece was being purchased as a structural brace.
jdm bling
those who buy products solely because it is "jdm" ARE ghey. I like to buy products that fuction well for the purpose they were intended and are top notch in build quality.
IMO, this would be a good for the occational track session; increases structural rigidity, is removable and you dont have to hack up youre interior to make it fit...
