yep. but then as long as people don't attach harnesses to this brace, I don't see a problem with people spending cash on it. Those that do should be made aware of the fact that they are a moron. (those that attach a harness to it that is)

There is nothing wrong with this product, but for less money you could have a rollbar from Kirk or Autopower shipped to you.

i hope they figure that out too!! you can tell from the pic the harness is attached to the chassis NOT the bar

 

of course, that's not safe either in fact, I'd say that's even more dangerous do to the angle of the belts. Spinal compression would own that driver, and he'd still get killed in a rollover.. (edit: if the roof collapses)

even if it was, you would have to be an idiot to either 1) sit back there or 2) let people sit back there.

 

I dont let people sit back there now.....so thats not a worry, but I dont want to get something that I cant at least have my rear seats at least in the car.....

Autopower and Kirk Racing both sell bolt-in (therefore, removable roll bars/6pt. cages).

You can get bolt-in versions.

JDM bling is ghey.

Even if the seats can stay in place with the bar, you won't want rear passengers to sit with a bar inches from their heads.

If the reason for getting this bar is JDM bling, so be it. That is retarded, but it's your car and whatever makes you happy is cool.

I just wanted to let people know there was a better alternative if this piece was being purchased as a structural brace.

 

True dat. My rental has a 6 point kirk cage and I pulled the front pieces out and left the rear in. 100% bolt-in.

IMO, this would be a good for the occational track session; increases structural rigidity, is removable and you dont have to hack up youre interior to make it fit...
