Hi, bought a 2006 8th gen civic last week with 60,000km (37k miles). Had a look at the automatic transmission fluid and it turned out to be light brown.

It has a very subtle oil smell with no burnt smell or any particles in the fluid.
I've heard that liquid in good condition are meant to be red. Will this be a problem? Is this a symptom of a greater problem or is it just the liquid that needs to be changed or not?

Change it, should be reddish color.
