Can paint expire?
So, I'm painting my front lip (rattle-can btw) and all was well until I sprayed the clear coat. Now I've painted most my lip/lip kits this way and I am usually very satisfied with the results, however this time, I...think....I made....a mistake.
I decided to use a can of clear coat that sat on my shelf for maybe 2 years(? not really sure). Thinking it would be okay, the dang clear coat dried with a "goldish hue" - yes GOLDish. I sprayed the clearcoat on several different surfaces prior and it was CLEAR, in fact, I can spray it right now and it would be clear...yet when it touched the paint, it was like a goldish hue (hard to explain, ill try to get pics up).
So my questions, is it because it was an old can? Do they expire? Maybe I didn't shake it up enough lol? Didn't mix well with the paint underneath?
Its an easy fix, but i was just wondering.
Thanks,
