I'm enrolled in tech school, and have always been a muscle car head, but as I attempt to break into the industry, I am attempting to expand my experiences. Welcome, this into my life:

I picked it up for pretty much free, so I got to work. Long story short, I need a new engine. After much though, consideration, and research, I've decided to do a b swap. How fun, right?

Enter this engine. What exactly is it:

My best guess tells me b18a1. Anyone have any ideas?

And please, I really don't want ridiculed right this second on why some may think any of this is a bad idea. For me, so far, things are working. (Sorry, I come from reddit where everyone thinks every single swap is a dumb idea and of course they can do it themselves through the computer in a better way unrelated to where your problem my lie) endrant.

It does appear to be a B18A1, could possibly be slightly newer. Everyone has their opinions but I don't think anyone should think this swap would be a bad move.

 

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. It's from a 89 or 90 integra 1800 so I doubt it's newer than the b18a1. Can you link me to some good places to start for this motor? I may rebuild it once I get it. I'm in no hurry to get this project done, and it's more so for me to learn than to actually make a car.
