what is the point of an integra dash swap?
Just as the title says, what is the point? Is it because it's black or because it is lighter? Couldn't you just paint your dash black if you wanted a black dash? Thanks and I know it's a pretty stupid question. I have to say though, that i do like the way those dashes look.

The integra is a much nicer dash. If you can't appreciate it. Don't do it.
BUT its a waste of time in my opinion, I spend my time watching the road, and maybe a few guages... not my entire console.

And again, i have seen few to none that come out looking oem.
Hell, once i had s10 headlights duct-taped in my stock locations as a temp fix, sure it was a mod, but it didn't look right.

Well If you are referring to my dash as one of the ones you are talking about. I did it because when I got then car. It was stripped of everything. No carpet, headliner, Dash, Heater core, Blower motor, Guage cluster, Nothing. Hell the person that owned it before me used it as a race car. And had taken Beer cans and cut them apart and screwed the beer cans over the holes in the firewall. No panels on the inside what so ever. NONE When I got the car had a grey civic steering wheel with no airbag, A DX Guage cluster Zip Tied to the firewall (NO TACH) One seat in the driver position with one bolt holding it down. And the other seat rolling around in the back of the car. To say the least it was a piece. But it was the car and I wanted so I bought it. And just look at my SIG for the new pictures of it now.

Hhmm... there is no point. People are so quick to bash a front end conversion of say.... civic w/ intregra front end. They almost always get a 
here on H-T. Its should be the same for dash conversions then too... and 5 lug conversions as well.
