Default 1989 Honda Crx Si Overheating

I have a 1989 Honda Crx Si. The radiator was leaking and I had it replaced. Then about a month ago, the car overheated. The mechanic replaced a hose, but then the temperature started rising faster than normal and always stays at the middle of the temperature gauge. Yesterday, I was driving it and the temperature gauge went up past the middle of the gauge. Any suggestions on what is wrong with the car?

Might be dumb but did you check to see if you have coolant in the car after it over heated yesterday? Maybe you still have a leak somewhere..

Check coolant level, check for leaks or signs of leakage, and check to make sure the fan is coming on.

Air in the coolant system could also be the culprit.

leaks happen in multiple places after the first one.

im dealing with it on another car i own. you stress the whole system and youll find all the weak spots.

keep looking for leaks, bad clamps, dried up coolant, etc.

After you check for more leaks, does your engine heat up only at stops, or whenever you are driving?
