Need help. I cant rev over 2200 rpm right now. Cleaned iacv, tried new tps. Pulled codes and its saying iacv and tps but it didnt work. Could it be ecu or tune?? please help!! When I drive it wont go past 2200 also. Any help would be appreciated

 

Did you reset the ECU after trying the new TPS?

 

disconnected battery after trying new tps and nothing. I just unplugged my ecu and noticed one of the wires to jumper harness isnt connected

 

i d check iacv and tps wirings for damaged wires

 

something like this is really symptomatic of a clogged cat ... remove the oxygen sensor or downpipe and see if it runs better .. remember to disconnect the oxygen sensor

 

for anyone that has this problem.. my problem was wire unplugged from jumper harness. the wire for tps/iacv got corroded and disconnected causing fluctuating idle and 22k redline. hope this helps someone in the future because i had a hard time finding anything on this problem

 

It happened to me once, on a D16y8, the MAP and the TPS connectors were inversed by mistake, the car idled like **** and revved like **** only till about 2k.

The reason for this mistake, both the connector are identical and somehow were not marked during the removal of the intake manifold.
