I've seen some posts on pre 2000 civics doing this... is there any info on doing this for 2006-2009 models?

I'm wondering how much money/time this is compare to re-doing the rear drums?

 

My daughter's 2007 civic ex came with rear disc. We bought it used in 2009 but wouldn't think someone would have changed them out in the first 2 yrs??

 

I thought that all the 2006-present Civics ( all trim levels) had the disc rear brakes. My wife's Fit (2009) has drums in the back...but all Civics I have seen are discs all around...

 

EX and up has discs.

I bet if you looked on 8thcivic.com you could find a thread about it. You won't see much performance gain since back brakes do little of the total work when braking anyway. Older Hondas required changing the knuckle and e-brake cables, I'd imagine the process is similar on your Civic.
