Icon6 99 Accord Dash Instrument Panel not working

Hi there,

I just purchased a used '99 Honda Accord. The dash light instrument panel (odometer, speedometer, rpm, gas gauge) are not working.

The check engine light, srs, and abs lights all work. It's only the gauges that don't work.

I have checked all the fuses with my eyes, and with a multimeter.

What else could be causing this?

p.S. The driver side trunk tail light fills up with water because the seal is broken. Not sure if this could be causing the problem in some way.

Thank you

should be a 10a fuse in the driver side kickboard fuse box assembly that might be blown

I would beg to differ with this comment.

Reading the wire diagram the power to the abs, cel light, ect.....and the power to the Speedo, temp, gas gauge all come from the driver dash fuse - #9 7.5 amp.

So if you turn the key to "on"/pos II and the cel comes on and then goes off - that would confirn that pin B11 to the gauge unit is getting power from the fuse listed. However you start the car and the Tach does not work - we are chasing a differnt issue.

Its cool

The 6th gen's are a bit "funny" - then add they changed the gauge cluster mid gen and more fun comes
