help please! car won't start.... click click click click....
OK, so I changed the clutch in my gilr's LS this weekend. I put everything back together... tranny, axle, starter, distributor, etc.... and went to start the car and it just goes:
click click click click click... etc.
I'm gonna check the ground wires and all that later.. but do you have any other suggestions on what to check? It was 10:30 last night and I was outside so I didn't want to do anything else, so I just went home, and I'm gonna go over today to try to remedy it.
Any suggestions? probably a ground wire or something?
THANKS!

or just recharge it.
when u turn ur car over, does it start making a click, click, click noise?
if so your battery needs more juice. if it does work when u jump it, then u need a new battery.

yeah, the battery was dead cause the whole time the car sat there the hatch was open and that little light was on.. I'll let it sit on the charger for a while and see if that works.. but it does click over and over when I turn the key

if it's not the battery...check the starter wired and make sure you have good connections and the correct points, also check your other ground wires.
Sometimes the main relay will offer similar symptoms, but i believe in this case it is in fact the battery.
Either that, or the ground from the chassis to the transmission.
That will do it to, i know from personal experience.

Make sure you have the wires out of the Distributor in the right place.. It sounds like I had a similar problem and i had the wires wrong..but i really thought I had the right..and my car sat for 2 days...pretty gay of me..but live and learn..Good Luck
yeah, the flywheel should be aligned right.. and it's possible the starter is going out or something.. I'm hoping to try a few more things before I start replacing stuff.
hmm... swap her LS motor out of her LS? haha.. I'll throw it in the hatch! perfect!
