To me it's all about the buyer. I picked up my 99 hatch last year from a honda dealer where the original owner turned the car back in because he could not renew his license at 84 years old. It had 40k miles, clean title and no rust. Paid $70 for a plane ticket and drove 1k miles home. There were two back up offers at full price. It may be high priced to some, I would not let mine go for less. Any way, that's my 2 cents. Good luck with sale.

Close they were about 12-15k depending on options you got with it. And this is a dx with ac and power steering...very rare as people only got 1 or the other from the dealership.

Please, explain to me how this car is worth 6700? Single cam, are you serious? 4 Lug??? A lip kit and Ac/PS make it 6700? Don't think so. It's nice but come on. We both know you won't get anywhere near 6 for it so why bother posting it up for that much. I feel bad for anyone who gets ripped paying that.

 

I will gladly answer this for you. It seems by your screen name that you may be in FL. Here in california it's very rare to find a clean title ek hatch with super low mileage like mine for its age and a super 1000% clean title with ac and ps. If you look at auto trader, cars.com and craigslist here in SoCal you will have a very hard time finding anything good or un modified for a cheap price. Yes I can drop a motor and this and that to make the price more worthwhile and I do know our market here and the market in the Midwest and east coast is very differently priced. People seem to be wanting to be spoon fed a car, while people complain about car prices they love to pay 2-4 grand for rims that are rare. Maybe this is the reason why people are wanting to pay so cheaply for cars now a days. But I realistically think people are now just cheap as F and want everything ebay/walmart price matched. You can ask anyone if they saw this car at a dealership with my price tag they would feel more comfortable going to check it out and make offers and try haggle which is why have given two options on my post. And my question of the day for you kind sir is what would you pay for this gem ?? 2-3k because you saw that on kbb.com or you feel that's what a super clean car is worth?? You can find something like a beater car for that much and fix up all it's issues and you'll be at 5-6k in the end so why do all that work when you can buy my car , drop your choice of motor and rims and done with it??

I wouldn't pay more than 3k for this car. It's just not valuable as you think it is. It's a stock, massed produced, 15 year old civic. Not gold. Like I said it's nice, but it's comical how you're trying to justify it being 6700 now. Btw 130k for a 99 is not low mileage, my 2000 S2000 has only 101k, now that's low mileage.

 

If someone buys this car for even 6k and it gets stolen, you deserve the 3k the insurance will give you for it. This car has more mods, and hey look it has 40k LESS miles than your STOCK EK. Don't tell me because it's in Jersey either, to get that deal I would gladly fly from Cali to NJ for 100 bucks and drive it MAYBE spending 200 in gas across the country, than pay 6700 for this.

And that's perfectly fine with that your willing to pay that much but your not getting my car for that price. And do the math on mileage on both our cars... Estimated at 12k per year multiplied by 15 =180k. 12k multiplied by 14 =168k so tell me how your doing your math ?? My car seems to be just as low mileage as yours. And I've seen lower mileage s2000 then you claim yours to be.

And yeah like stated Hondas in the Midwest and east coast are priced very differently. I see k20 ek's going for 7-9k over there so why would I buy a b swapped civic when you can get a k20 swapped civic for the same price?? You'll see k swapped eg,dc and ek here go for 10k and up that are mint. Also where it snows I do believe there is a higher chance of rust is they daily it so you may not know what hidden headaches may arise and you may by then rethink your purchase. But it will be too late by then, not saying this guys car is like that I'm just thinking about all the angles you pricing gurus seem to not comprehend.

Your s2k if we're going by "real market value" is worth about 9-10k. Would you sell it for that if you know it's in tip top shape with no issues and it pretty mint?? I would think probably not and you'd ask maybe for 12-14 k right ?? Then guess what you'll be plagued with trolls and low ballers trying to be spoon fed a car because they claim to know market values. Also a 7k swapped ek is pretty close to the "real car value" of your car and I would rather get your s2k for 9-10k if it's mint rather then getting the ek.

All you pricing gurus should work for the stock market since your such sales men and seem to know so much about prices.

If it we're stock, I would ask 12k. If you'd look up KBB which most people go by but not all, it's KBB stock is 12k. Since it's not, with over 4k retail in mods, I put it up here for 15k firm and didn't get any flak from anyone because it was worth every penny. I'm just saying, this price is ridiculous. You can ask 6k all day, but it'll be an antique by the time you sell it. GLWS

I'm in no rush at all to sell as this is my daily getting 33-35 per gallon on a full tank. May be a fun track car too if I decide to modify it.
