1997 Honda Accord - P0301 - Slight Misfire
My 97' Honda Accord runs like a top, even at 283K. However, last week it just through an engine light on. I read the code and it is P0301. There is a slight misfire when light and only light throttle is pressed. If I give the car a boost, the misfire goes away.
I have already replaced the spark plugs (NGK), spark plug wires, distributor cap and swapped out all of the inner components of the distributor. Still no changes and the light persistently comes on after 8 miles of driving.
I also threw in a can of seafoam into the tank to make sure it wasn't any bad gas. I am still baffled at what the problem could be.
Any suggestions or advice would greatly be appreciated!
Thank you.

lol Not sure why I said retrieve the check engine code but sometimes I'm on the app and i might have missed it.
Anyhow, first thing I would do since you've replaced most of the ignition parts is to clean out the egr plate and egr valve. There's a howto in the faq's at the top of the forum or you can do a youtube search for "eric the car guy honda egr cleaning".

Thank you for the suggestions. I have cleaned out the EGV valve and that did not resolve the issue.
JA97accord, was there a 'ticking' sound on your car before you found out it was a loose valve? I don't have any ticking sounds on my car right now and I am curious.
What are your thoughts about the fuel injectors?

Adjust valves to spec. Try to swap injector from cylinder 3 to cylinder 2. See if misfire moves to cylinder 2. If so, injector is faulty. Do a compression test. Compare compression in cylinder 3 to others.
