Default Drop Springs??

1990 CRX DX. I just installed Tein S Sport springs on my car. I used KYB GR2 struts. These are genuine Tein springs and i put the fronts and backs where they belong. The car seems higher than pictures i see of the same car with the same setup. What did i do wrong? Do i have to loosen the control arms and set the car down before i tighten them? How much do these springs settle? Thanks.

I had tein springs in my 91 hatch. The front was a lot higher than the front. Ended up selling them! They did ride real smooth.

I've seen some sit very nice and some sit higher in the front also. I hate springs for this reason.

Looking back i should have bought some nice adjustable springs. When i installed these i had the car up on 4 jackstands. I read somewhere that the control arms need to be loosened and the weight of the car should be on the suspension before tightening the control arms. Does anyone know if this is true?

Yes. From what I understand, the bolts should be tightened after the car is on the ground. If tighted while wheels are hanging, the "settle" that you see later...is due to your bushings tearing.

Did you make sure to rotate the springs so they are properly seated in the lower perches?
