intermittent start..delay in fuel pump cutting on.
I need help, I am having an intermittent start problem.. Sometimes when I start the car, it starts right up, other times it will turn over but never start. When It will not start, I do not hear the humming of the fuel pump and the dash never clicks and the CEL does not go out. Once it starts, there is no code for CEL and the light will turn off once you hear the hum of the fuel pump. I have seen other posts on this but not much help past changing the fuel pump relay, which I have done.
Its like the fuel pump intermittently cuts on, which it starts most of the time, but like I said, other times I go to start the car and it just wont. I can leave the ignition in the start position and wait for the fuel pump to cut on, usually takes from a few seconds to about a minute, then it will start right up..
Once running, it does not cut off and it is easier to start the next time.
Its almost like there is a delay in the fuel pump cutting on.
I have read dozens of posts of this same issue, so Im sure there is some help out there, but those posts usually recommend things that I am sure is not the issue, like a crack in the rotor cap or ignition switch..
The only one that makes clear sense says that it could be wiring or the cars ecu. Just want to see if anyone here has suggestions as to where to start with this.. thanks

Check the fuel pump relay for proper function and relay sockets for voltage. One socket will be constant power, one will be power when you turn the ignition on.
