Default PGMFI on 1980s motorcycle?

I've got a 1980 1100cc 4-cylinder bike and want to throw my carbs in the trash! It uses 2 coils, each running 2 plug wires to the individual cylinders. I've seen examples a few other guys with the same bike have built using late model motorcycle throttle bodies, and megasquirt management, but I'm not an electrical engineer, nor do I want to sink $1000 into a bike that is only worth $1200-1400. After toying with PGMFI on my 89 civic, and having a friend that does tuning on said civic, I want to try and build a Frankenstein using a modded PGMFI car ecu to run late model bike ITBs, using a tps, and using my existing bike ignition to trigger the ecu to know when to deliver fuel. Has this ever been done before? Any tips/suggestions? Thanks!

And just a little bio, I'm a machinist/welder/fabricator by trade, so getting the pieces on and hooked up I can handle, I'm just not a electronics soldering, computer genius. (But my buddy who does my tuning is)

that is very difficult.

only with an after market stand alone EFI ecu with wirings or try to install used EFI system from a new bike..

and you need also to make all the modifications in order to place all new sensors to your old bike.

i wouldnt dare doing it, you can just buy a new bike...
