Default Oil temp gauge?

Hi, Im trying to hook up a oil temp gauge off of my drain plug and having difficulty matching a gauge (looks, price) to work with a sender unit the has the same thread as my drain plug, m14x1.5 So far I found 2 sender units with that pitch, one is a vdo vw one and the other is a Koso motorcycle one. I found a bunch of gauges I like but im worried that the values will be different and the gauge will read wrong. Any advice or thought? Some I found:
Koso sender http://www.ebay.com/itm/KOSO-OIL-TEMP-TEMPERATURE-SENSOR-M14XP1-5-ATV-QUAD-UTV-DIRTBIKE-YAMAHA-HONDA-KTM-/251402500449?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a88c1b961&vxp=mtrVDO sender http://www.ebay.com/itm/VDO-300F-Oil-Temp-Sender-Drain-Plate-Style-M14-X-1-5-/160537381591?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2560c60ad7&vxp=mtrAdapter plug http://www.ebay.com/itm/Water-Temp-Gauge-Adapter-M14x1-25-Male-to-5-8-UNF-Female-080-/271155775283?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f2224c733If anyone can post some gauges that match these senders or will fit the female end of the adapter please post, no vw guages please. Thanks

Unless you want to spend alot of money on something like Defi (has nice audible alerts), go with cheap Autometer.

Drill and use an autometer weld in bung in your oilpan: http://www.summitracing.com/int/sear...s-and-fittings
That's what I did, then you don't have the hassle and wear on the sensor everytime you change your oil.

^Agreed. Having it in your drain plug is not only a hassle, I wouldn't want anything poking out the bottom of the pan more than the drain plug already does. That's just asking for trouble.
