Default CEL, TCS, Flashing D4 P1705

Im new to the form and to Honda's.
I have a 2001 Accord EX 3.0 automatic.
My question/problem is....
I had to replace my trans, bought a rebuilt and after install, i had issues with shift selector sensor, dash indicators weren't lighting properly when shifting. Was hard to get out of park but drove fine gears shifted smoothly. I tested and adjusted the sensor and all is well with it.
BUT now, when first starts, it shifts hard from P to R, or if I start in N and shift into R, or D4. the CEL, TCS, lights light up and D4 flashs and code P1705 opens. I reset/clear everything and it does it all over again. It also does all the lights and code when I shift with the car NOT running. I have a haynes manual and read other post and have tested everthing i can think or that deals with the trans. Everything test fine. I have not drove the car when it started doing this. I dont want to chance killing my rebuilt trans.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

P1705 could be a short in the transmission range switch or a bad connection at said switch.

I have researched the P1705. Not sure why or how it went bad but i do intend on replacing it.
Could the range switch be the cause of all my problems?
I cant seem to find any thread or posting about all my problems.
I have come across switch issues only but not double hard shifts into R

Ok. Thanks for ALL the reply's. I have fixed my problem. I replaced the Shift Selector Switch a.k.a. Neutral Safety Switch. It runs as good as can be. If I can help the next guy, if you need to find a part as well. You can find it also on a Honda Odyssey or Acura of the same year group. The yard I went to had maybe 20 honda's, 10 civics, 9 accords with 2.3's, 1 with a 3.0(that I needed), 1 Acura and 2 odyssey's. I got my part from the Acura, it was marked "good eng & trans and was very clean. If I can help please ask and ill do my best or ill ask the mechanics i work with. Good Luck!
