What grit sandpaper to prep hubcaps/wipers?
It has come time to respray my hubcaps and wipers. I just bought my EF and the hubbies and wipers are pretty badly peeling and fading. I am waiting until spring to buy new rims, so i am going to rattlecan the stockers instead. What grit sandpaper should I use to sand these down before I repsray them?
You know what I found out to work really well is...ummmm....steel wool and a fine but not super fine grit paper. Use steel wool after the sand paper. It smooths out the imperfections.

so like 220-400 grit? I just finished prepping my car for paint, so i have a ton of 80, 220, 400 and 600 grit paper. You think like 220 would do it? What about the steel wool? 0000# work?
