Default Help guys!! D16y7

Hey guys, i just bought a 99 dx 4 door that comes with a y7. What do you guys recommend? Should i go with a y8 head, or a z6 head and why? Its my first car, noob problems!

I believe the best setup is the Z6 with the Y8 head. But I would just swap that motor out and get a GSR or something.

Yea, that's exactly what i plan to do. But for now, i just want to hear some vtec sauce open up. I guess ill wait, plus it sucks that my car is auto too.

Save the money and enjoy the mileage until you can get a swap. No sense pumping time and money into a setup you plan to ditch anyway.

Yeah, and not only that when I had my D16Z6, which is the fastest single cam I never heard vtec engage but it was pretty quick.

My motor sounds like its knocking now. So i will most likely go with a d16z6 for now!
