Default 96-00 Ashtray/Cig lighter add on help

Hopefully someone can help me out here, cause all the threads about this just turned into an argument and no solid answers...I have the ashtray/cig lighter combo for the ek chasis the "jdm" one or i guess the optional one for 99-00 Si's? idk, whatever, my particular vehicle is a 96 dx hatch, i went to install and noticed i didnt have the harness that plugs into the cigarette lighter clip, as showing in the pic with the harness, mine just looks like the second pic (harness missing) my question to you all is, is this harness absolutely needed? or can the cig lighter be wired in somehow directly to the rest of the main cabin harness?

-Thanks

the clip off the stock 92-95 cig lighter fits into the clip pictured above, if it's just ground and power then I'm gonna see if i can just tap the 92-95 clip wiring into the stock power and ground for the original cig lighter connection..

okay so I went through this already. There is a part you are missing. I have one brand new in the bag. It was a bitch to track down. I don't think I want to sell it to you though because it is for a brand new cig lighter/ashtray assembly I have in my garage.

I can at least tell you the part number you are missing is 08U96-S01-10010

See it was a bitch for me because I didn't know the part number. But I just told you what it was so it's easy for you.

You can buy it here:
