'09 Odyssey electrical problems after dead battery and jump start - turn signals
Hi - My kids recently left a light on in the van overnight, and the battery was dead in the morning. I jump the van, no problem, however, a number of things didn't work: power sliding doors, radio, shift interlock were all dead. I hunted down blown fuses and replaced them - everything works EXCEPT, the turn signals go solid-on when the brake is applied (they work fine when not braking) and the cruise control turns off when I put on the turn signal to change lanes. I double checked all the fuses again. Suggestions? Thanks Jim
sounds like that turn signal is getting ground from your brakes , check all your ground next to battery clean and check again
Thanks. I checked ground at the battery and it is clean and intact. Whatever happened was most likely caused by draining the battery and then jumping the vehicle.
1-When the brakes are applied, the LEFT turn signal goes solid.
2 -If the cruise is on, and the left turn signal is turned on - the cruise goes off (it must think I applied the brake) It's bizarre. Any more suggestions?
