I have a 2000 civic lx the trans pops out of 3rd gear and when I shift into 4th
it wont accelerate HELP

 

When you say it won't accelerate, do you mean it revs freely, or it doesn't rev at all? It sounds like you have a damaged shift fork.

well the isb is shot so it makes a grinding sound when accelerating in all gears but when you go into 4th its like there's no clutch it just revs

 

So 4th isn't engaging. Your transmission is done. Either the fork is damaged, the sleeve is damaged, or the SCM is damaged. Also, a blown ISB shouldn't be audible when accelerating.

Long story short, your transmission is done. Rebuild it, or replace it.

 

thanks im just going to replace it too much that's wrong with it no point in rebuilding a lx tranny
