Clevite Bearings - P or H series ?
Hi, im building my y8.. turbo application 250-270whp..
About the bearings... Clevite P or H series?
Dont know what to buy.. i think H-Series (TM-77 Material) is better, right?
Rods: CB-1461HN (material=TM-77) vs CB-1461P (material=TM-1)
Main: MS-1804H (material=TM-77) vs MS-1084P (material=TM-1)
Infos From clevite catalog:
TM-1
Steel backed copper-lead matrix with overlay.
TM-77
Steel backed bearings with an intermediate layer of
copper-lead alloy and an electro-plated lead-base
overlay. Precision undersizes are not resizable.
P Suffix
Steel backed bearings with an intermediate layer
of copper-lead alloy and an electroplated lead-tin-
copper overlay. Precision undersizes are not resizable
(material designation TM-1, TM-, TM-112).
H Suffix
high performance bearing (on main sets this indicates
partial groove).
N Suffix
high performance bearing narrowed for greater
crankshaft fillet clearance.
Any input is very helpful - thankz
