EK B18C-R swap 36mm axle problem
So the topic of the JDM B18C-r swap in an EK has been covered, but i can seem to find a solid answer on the axles that need to be used.
The problem is The ITR's have 36mm axles and all civics have hubs that are meant for 32mm axles.
First off, is this even a problem? are the splines on 36mm and 32mm axles all the same and it only refers to the diameter but everything else is the same?
Do i need to buy custom axles or hubs? if so, company names?
Can a drivetrain shop swap out the ends of ITR axles with any b series ends to make them work?
I know K swap guys have the same problem, so would axles made for a Kswap work?
I don't mean to sound ignorant but I've searched all over the web and cant find any concrete info on this...
I want to do this without going for the 5 lug conversion, and I've seen 4 lug civics with ITR trannys, so i know it can be done...
This is the only thing holding up my swap so any real help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

The axles are "36mm" on the hub side. You ONLY need 36mm axles for using the JDM ITR 5 lug.
Even USDM ITR's have "32mm" hubs.
Just use USDM B series 94-01 integra/92-00 civic axles since you're keeping the 4 lug.
99-00 Si if you want to pinpoint one out of many options.
The splines in the trans are all the same.

not on the trans side. ONLY only the hub side. I used a JDM ITR trans on my USDM ITR and I've swapped that trans into an EM1 or 2.
The trans side splines are the same. The HUB side splines are different.

Incase anyone is interested in additional info:
-You can use 5G Prelude axles on JDM ITR 5 lug hubs. I pioneered the hell out of this. I know for sure that base model 5G prelude driver side axles are the same. The passenger side needs the INBOARD joint switched with a USDM B series axle. Or I believe the prelude SH model passenger side will work with 0 mods.
-36mm or 32mm refers to the hex size on the axle nut.
None of that is really relative to the OP's conundrum. Just some additional info I gathered whilst doing numerous 5 lug swaps.

Sweet, thanks a lot . I've been getting so much mixed information on this. Glad to finally know what's what! The rest of the parts should be in within a couple weeks. Swap should be pretty straightforward now...
