It is stuck on a quarter of a tank... Is there a way to test the gauge alone to see if it can be fixed? supposedly the fuel pump in the car is new its an 89 crx si.

 

It may not be the gauge. It may be the sending unit. The sending unit is forward in the tank. The pump is at the rear and has nothing to do with the gauge/sending unit. Check the connector under the storage compartment. Sending unit is under the access panel. But if I remember, I think the tank has to be dropped for removal.

 

if the fuel pump is new, most likely the reinstall may have damaged the sender unit in the gas tank. or it the wires connection may not be properly reattached.
