Default Upgrading injectors...

Anyone upgrade their stock injectors from a functionality point of view? Have any insight to share?

Three options:
1. send out stock units to RC Engineering, at a cost of $96.00.

https://www.rceng.com/Fuel-Injector-Cleaning-P43C0.aspx

2. buy new units by RC Engineering, at a cost of $315.00. Better fuel atomization, cleaner burn, more efficient.

https://www.rceng.com/Saturated-Inje...240-P21C6.aspx

3. buy new Bosch units on ebay that have similar design to RC units, at a much cheaper cost, $170.00

1990 Civic Si, D16Z6, obd1 p28, At the moment I am running a stock engine with the AEM short ram intake and DC header. Later I hope to chip my p28 and get the timing and fuel maps tuned for efficiency, performance and emissions purposes. Later still, I hope to get a second head to rebuild, install a cam and retune. I am not interested in forced induction, hence the low-flow injector options.

The new Bosch style injectors are superior technology to all older style injectors, including the RC's. Spray patterns are much better allowing for better mileage, nicer idle characteristics and throttle response, and......they make more power!

A recent dyno showed a guy running a stock B18B.....1.8L non turbo, with no other changes other than newer injectors making hp to the wheels. A modified engine can benefit much more depending on mods

RDX or K20 injectors are the way to go, but you will need top hats to fit them into a b series rail. you will also need to rewire the injector clips or buy a conversion harness. I plan to do this on my ITR motor soon, Ive heard as much as 4-5whp to the wheels.

Something like this? Overkill for my needs but tout what I'm looking for: improved spray pattern, increased fuel flow, and better fuel atomization. Speaking of increased fuel flow, my d16z6 runs rich in my ef, too rich, I suspect my injectors and so...

The Bosch injectors I'm leaning towards are rated at 280cc, slightly above the stock 240cc injectors. I'm wondering if it will it be necessary to tune? I am also considering getting injectors rated at 190cc to remedy my rich problem. What say yee?

I didnt do anything else with my Bosch 280cc, jut plug and play, the 40cc over gonna be good when you start puting bolt on or even upgrade the internal. My ZC all stock internal, and no bolt on. I feel better response and mpg 2+

i have a set of 08 civic injectors modded to flow about 380cc with the k-tuned top hats, they are same style as rdx just a lot more common. ran them for a while but it was a lot more fuel than i needed. ended up with h22a4 injectors instead. probably eventually sell teh civic injectors one of these days.
