Default Auto to manual swap question?

So im about to do a auto to manual swap on my car. My engine is a d16y8. I have read on other web sites about the iacv problem. But im trying to understand why would it be a problem? And also is there anyway i can avoid having to swap out the intake manifold, throttle body, iacv and 2pin connector and ecu?

Why would you have to swap out all of that?

Cant say for certain but you shouldn't need to swap much more than the things directly related to the trans

This is swap 101 type stuff. "I don't know" doesn't help the OP at all, and only serves to clutter and possibly confuse people in the future. Please try to avoid it.

Yes, you do need to swap to a manual ECU. Because of this, yes, you do need to convert to a 2 wire IACV. There's no realistic way around it.
